Terrible service, slow to no support and tech's need training
Tech's seem to be reading off paper with no troubleshooting skills. Offer "24/7" support but then tell you that your job is not something they understand or have access to and level 2 tech's only work business hours. HOT TIP - That is not 24/7 support! Ask eta's and following up questions regarding process and access for future support and response was I don't know and I don't have access to that information. If you have an outage don't bother calling out of business hours, they cant help.
Absolutely dreadful support. My site gets hacked with two new unauthorised users created overnight. The most sophisticated help I get from tech support is help in deleting the new accounts (which was obviously exactly what I did when I first realised these accounts had been created). I had to ask them to investigate how and where the site had been hacked, and what the intruders had done while they had access - this is the sort of thing that a company hosting my website should be offering me when they hear of a hack! Then, I ask to get the site restored to prior to the hackers gaining entry and it turns out the automated backups (which run four times a day) had stopped working 6 weeks ago and nobody at Digital Pacific had realised. So if I wanted to restore my site it would have to lose 6 weeks of content.
Tech support guy also seemed to find his own and his company's level of gross incompetence amusing. Prick. I'll be switching at the first opportunity and would encourage all others to avoid these fools.
Used to be ok, been with them for over 2 years...tonight total disappointed in the support received and the careless factor and un emotional robot that took my call tonight. I noticed my website was down..? I received a message on Monday that my yearly hosting charge had failed however not to worry they would attempt a recharge in a few days that was the automatic email sent. I checked my bank account and insured the correct amount was in the account which it was. So I didn't think anything more. Until tonight Wednesday I notice my website was down...I call support and find out that they have turned off my service???? The credit card had sufficient money, instead of getting an apology the support guys says "I am only in technical support do you want me to charge it now for you? And also thinks its ok to say oh its ok your site was only down for a few hours??? When I said I wanted to make a complaint he said I would have to contact billing myself? I said ah no why dont you contact Billing seeing you work in the same company and let your staff know some one shut down my website with out authority. Totally disappointed the guy couldn't care less and sounded like a robot, try and ask for anything more than has been scripted to help you with seemed all to hard and I got silence pretty much. Thank god Its up and running now due to me contacting them. I guess I have another year they are on notice...if this behaviour continues they are absolutely not worthy of my business. As you can see in the last free months there not getting any good reviews from others. Good service keeps business going not that behaviour.
We have been with Digital Pacific for 7 months, after countless issues we've had to bring on a consultant to review our so called "Managed VPS" system to find out that Digital Pacific made a mistake and provided us 1/3 of a CPU throttling down our already low quality Xeon L5640 CPU (A CPU from 2010 worth $40 nowadays!). We had severe issues, paying $115.90 a month for a computer that's worth almost nothing, and to top it off, it was throttled to 30%, my phone is faster than this server.
We had constant crashes, constant 22x server load times, we've moved to Siteground and noticed a 10x performance improvement for the same price.
i paid for vps server, i only two days use vps, after that you suspended vps server. i lost my data. when contacted with you, telled me that you want screen shot of my credit card and my passport photo!? why that for you? i think this is f*** company to steal data users. and you no thing to provide no any service!.
Awful. Bad, unreliable service and so unprofessional. Servers blocked by mail filters for spam
I have used many hosting services globally and these guys have been the worst. The service went down for half a day on 2 separate occasions with no notification (so we were wasting money on advertising driving people to a dead website). The last straw, currently in progress, Microsoft mail services (outlook.com, live.com, hotmail) are blocking anything from their servers so potential customers using these would not get our emails. Pretty serious issue; you'd expect some kind of notification or warning right? nothing. after following up asking when it would be fixed 2 days later I still have no response.
Their servers are now blocked by mail filters so good luck running a business on one of these guys hosting packages.
I have been a client of Digital Pacific for many years and I think they deserve to get a good testimonial because they truly go above and beyond when you need it.
I have noticed that the quality and support at Digital Pacific has been dropping fast over the last year or so. They seem to have employed quite a number of new support staff, who all seem to be incompetent and either unwilling or unable to understand basic information. They once were excellent, but now I really could not recommend them,
